When I procrastinate, I still always get the job done.

I wait until the last possible minute to do things. There is a force that keeps me from getting tasks done. It’s a lifestyle choice. And I would bet it’s a popular one.

But how do you come to terms with your procrastination?

Let it happen. Don’t get worked up about it. Relax. Have confidence in the fact that the task will get done. Eventually. And that’s good enough.

This doesn’t mean you avoid responsibility or impose a form of self-sabotage. It only means that you don’t give yourself such a hard time about it. Because you know that it WILL get done.

People spend so much energy worrying about all the things they need to do. Instead, have confidence in your ability to work against a clock, power through a huge task, and work efficiently.

I procrastinate. I wait until I absolutely need to get something done and then I power through it.

The point is, I KNOW that I will get it done somehow and in some way. And that’s okay. I enjoy working in huge chunks. More often than not, I power through my best and most satisfying work. It works for me. I only ask that you see if it works for you.

Push yourself once you see the finish line.

Procrastinators aren’t lazy. We’re sprinters.

Why jog the entire race when you can walk most of it and then make a mad dash once you see the finish line?

So, allow yourself to procrastinate and see what happens. You may just find a work method that works for you. Not everyone can procrastinate, but if you can… try it.
